Robert celebrated his birthday in a very special way. He had the opportunity to go to the temple for the first time that day. We wanted to take some pictures, but by the time we got out it was so dark and we had forgotten the camera. There will be some other temple pictures coming soon.
It was a very special day and we had some special people with us.
Grandpa and Grandma were suppose to meet us in the chapel at the temple, but....they got the time wrong and actually arrived 2 hours before us, so, we will have to go again with them another day before Robert leaves.
David Campbell came. He was Robert's deacon's quorum advisor and Robert loves him...one of his favorite people in our ward...
Then Aimee Tubbs came with her mom and dad (Oma and Opa)...Tom and Joyce Louisianna. They are such dear and special friends. We feel so bless to be a part of their family.
Robert has now made it a goal to go once a week to the temple until he leaves on his mission. He usually goes with one or more of his friends who have also received their mission calls. It is so nice that they all are able to go together and share such a special experience together.
How blessed we are to be members of the church and to know that through temples we have the possibility to be together forever. It was such a special experience to share with Robert.

IN THE BEGINNING
This blog has been created to follow the adventures of Anziano (Elder) Robert Bona and his adventures and experiences while serving in the Italy Milan Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will begin his missionary service by entering the Missionary Training Center (MTC) on March 3, 2010 and is anticipated to leave for Milan Italy on May 4, 2010 and will serve a total of two years returning March 2012.
Robert received his mission call on December 3, 2009. It was a wonderful day for our whole family and we are very proud of Robert and his desire to serve a mission. We know that he will do an amazing job and the people of Italy are lucky to have him for 2 years.
